Five ways to use your senses and connect with nature each day

How can we use our senses to connect each day with nature and boost our wellbeing?

There is more and more scientific research emerging about the benefits of nature. All you have to do is use Ecosia (the new eco google) and search “the benefits of nature” to discover the new and evolving science and reasons to connect with nature.

Nature is good for your memory, boosts your mood, improves attention and boosts creativity. However I am asking you to look into your heart and ask yourself, do you really need this evidence? Do you already understand the true power of nature on your wellbeing? Can you feel it?

Building a community and giving back…

I’ve recently been asked on a couple of occasions to offer “lockdown doorstop photography”.

For me, this is not right for my business. It isn’t because I don’t want to give back to charity. I love to help others and I love to give back to society and community but the doorstep photography is not something I can offer.

My business is built around a community.

A community of kindness, love, authenticity, friendship, creativity and nature. I give back through the online community facebook group, Connect and Create where we continue to inspire each other through our nature photography.

All the proceeds from the sales of my nature cards and nature prints goes towards resources for these groups and 10% from sales of family nature sessions and natural personal branding sessions goes towards the Connect and Create walks and events too.

However at this time, I know that you want your lockdown memories captured so here is my offer to you…

Let’s lift each other up through nature and photography for health and wellbeing

I wanted to share and celebrate with you the wonderful photos that have been captured in the online Connect and Create photography group. This is a space where we have been sharing our nature photos from our daily walks or garden and I have been setting a theme to help guide the photography each day.

It’s a bit of fun and it’s a lovely way to connect with one another and share the different colours out there that nature offers.

Embracing slow living and nature at this time for your health and wellbeing – March 2020

At this time I feel that it is important for us to come together as a community and I am inviting you to do this through nature and by embracing this opportunity to slow down for your own health and wellbeing.

Being outside is proven to be beneficial to our health and I would love to encourage you to take some time out each day to connect with nature for you and your family.

Connect and Create – for your own health and wellbeing

I believe that being outside and being amongst nature is good for the soul.

The research continues to build and the evidence is clear. However for me, this all came about through my own personal experience.

Two years ago, our family made the move to the countryside. One of the best decisions to date for our family. We have four boys and the space of the country is what we needed. However I didn’t anticipate the move being as stressful as it turned out to be.
