A B certified business will be purpose driven and centre around a vision for creating a better world for people and planet.
72% of people believe that business should have a legal responsibilty to the planet and people, alongside maximising profits. It is time for change. It is time for the people to take the power back, choose to invest in businesses that care and trust that when they are supporting a B certified corporation they are creating a positive difference with their money for other people and for their planet.
From that moment, I knew I had no choice. I had to follow my heart, live aligned to my values and create a business that represented the societal change that I wanted for my children, grandchildren, people and planet. In August 2020, I embraced my photography business full time and made the commitment to fully embrace my passion for sustainability and commit to becoming a B certified corporation. Through connecting with nature every single day, we can inspire a societal change to put nature at the core of our life and business. When we value nature, we care, nurture and restore our planet which ultimately has a positive benefit on the health and wellbeing of people and planet. I have witnessed the power of being immersed in nature for my personal wellbeing and the wellbeing of our children. It it vital that we all reconnect to our natural selves and the natural world for our mental health. Discover more of my journey as a B Corp photographer.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Susan Ryrie, a musculoskeletal therapist working with humans, dogs and horses. Susan was having a new website designed and wanted to include some imagery that really reflected her and her business. With a continuing increase of children and adults spending more and more time on social media, a world of false imagery has exploded with people unable to identify what is real beauty and what is highly edited and false imagery.
It is common for people to over edit their photos, alter the background, spend a long time perfecting (in their eyes) an image before then posting this image online.
Surely if the image doesn’t truly reflect who you are then there is no “real” connection with the viewer….? What do you think?
